SugarSync will give you a FREE 5 GB account where you can store, sync, and share your files, videos, music, or whatever.
Simply sign up (not a trial – no CC required), download and install their program on your computer, choose the folder(s) you want to sync with your account… and you’re done.
Any files in your sync’d folders will now be safely and securely stored in your SugarSync account. These folders are private and not shared, or visible, to anyone else unless you want them to be.
You can also create new folders within your account and keep them private or share them with individuals if you want.
How we use this service
We have many clients who need to send us large video and audio files. SugarSync is the perfect solution.
All we do is create a new folder for the client, click the share button, enter their email and a short message, and send them the link to our folder. The client can now upload their files to this folder where we can retrieve them and the only people that can see, or access, this folder is our client and us.
If you want to share large videos or music files with family or friends… SugarSync is the way to go.
Need more storage?
Whenever you share a folder or refer someone to SugarSync and they sign up for a free account, you both get an additional 500 MB of space added to your accounts. If a referral upgrades to a paid plan, you both get an additional 10 GB of space.

Final thoughts…
We used “DropBox” for quite a while which offers a similar service. Their free account starts with 2 GB of storage space. Their referral bonus is 250 MB with a 8 GB limit and their pricing plans are not as flexible or inexpensive as SugarSync.
One of the biggest downfalls of “DropBox” is, should someone you share a folder with upgrade to a paid acct with more capacity, this will work against YOUR account and will use all your storage until you delete the contents of that folder.
Basically… whatever they place in their folder uses up your storage space as well!
SugarSync does not do this.
